2004 54 a moment in time 16 hits from 1954 celebrating 50 years since the UK’s first purpose Grand Prix track was built in Liverpool; raising charity funds (over £7.5k/$10k for Children in Need/UNICEF). Songs written/released in '54 with the exception of Cy Coleman & Carolyn Leigh’s 1959 “The Best is Yet to Come”.  Steve’s velvet vocals and Mike Neary’s guitar are simply stunning on “Smile” and “Cry Me a River” whilst “He’s a Tramp” is wonderfully fresh. Sh-Boom with backing vocals by Alison Clements brings a warm smile and closes with The Best is Yet to Come a tease for future albums. more...
